To me, life is a journey through worlds not yet seen. What landscapes will we meet, which roads will we choose, where will they lead? The path is different for each of us.
Jyotish, handed down from ancient India, is a wisdom that reads our nature and the flow of our lives from the arrangement of the stars at the moment we are born. For me, the stars are something like a map of the world, a way of knowing where I stand and what I might become.
And a gem is a small torch, carried as you walk with that map in your hand. A little light with which to illuminate the road ahead, by your own hand.
There are moments in life when we cannot see ahead. When we leap into a new world. When we face a decision that matters. When we want to go on, trusting the road we chose.
At such moments, glance down, and there is the gem you chose. Its glow reminds you of the courage and hope within you. I believe there are moments when a gem can do that.
And above all, what matters is the meeting with a gem. Out of stones that each have their own character, the one your heart is drawn to, somehow. The instant you see it, your heart stirs.
I take Jyotish's wisdom as a clue, but in the end I choose with my own sensibility. I want to give that meeting a form, as jewelry.
For those who walk their lives by their own will: a light that is yours alone, to keep you company on the way.
